Inside the Factory: A Tour of Stylefetish Industries with Celene Nox

German alternative fashion creator Celene Nox recently visited our headquarters in Bensheim — and we gave her the full tour. The result is one of the most honest, unscripted looks at how Stylefetish furniture is actually made.

The Visit

Celene Nox runs one of Germany's most respected alternative fashion and subculture channels — nearly 200,000 subscribers and a genuine curiosity about the communities she covers. When she reached out, we didn't send her a product. We invited her to the source.

She spent a day at our facility in Bensheim with Holger, our founder and CEO, walking through the workshop, handling pieces at different stages of production, and asking the kind of direct questions that most interviewers don't think to ask.

Everything Under One Roof

One of the things Holger explains in the video — and something we don't talk about enough — is just how much happens within these four walls. Steel cutting, welding, powder coating, upholstery, assembly, packaging, and shipping. Even the engineering, photography, and marketing. A team of ten people handles all of it, by hand, in Bensheim.

This isn't a cost-saving measure. It's a deliberate choice. When every stage of production is in-house, quality control isn't a checklist — it's built into how the work gets done. German precision extends down to something as specific as how the upholstery staples are aligned. Every one in line. No exceptions.

The padding process itself is a good example. Each padded component starts with a plywood base, then high-density foam, then a faux leather covering. The choice of faux leather isn't arbitrary — it's easier to clean and, unlike genuine leather, it's not damaged by silicone-based lubricants. A practical decision for furniture that actually gets used.

25 Years, One Idea

Holger started Stylefetish 25 years ago — the company celebrated its anniversary last year. The origin story, which he tells in the video, is exactly what you'd hope it would be: he walked into a room, saw a piece of furniture that was genuinely terrible, and decided he could do better. He did.

What started as a one-person operation has grown into a company with distribution across the US, Europe, Australia, and beyond. Celene mentions spotting Stylefetish products at a studio in Bangkok. Holger's response: greetings to Thailand.

Holger's Personal Favorite: The SuperHellcat

At one point in the tour, Celene asks Holger a simple question — if he could only choose one product, which would it be?

He doesn't hesitate. The SuperHellcat Punishment Bench.

His reasoning cuts straight to why it's also our most recommended first piece: flexibility. The SuperHellcat accommodates more positions, more activities, and more configurations than anything else in the lineup. And as your interests evolve, its modular attachment system means you can expand it rather than replace it. Holger even walks Celene through how you can attach a gyno table module on top to completely transform the piece into a reclined seating configuration — a different experience entirely from the same base frame.

It's the product that's been in continuous production the longest for a reason.

One More Thing From the Tour

Celene also gets a look at a piece that stops most people in their tracks — a fully enclosed isolation box on wheels, completely padded inside, with plexiglass windows in the lid, lockable side hatches, and a pillory-style opening that presents the sub in a very specific way. It's one of those products that takes a second to fully process.

It's not currently listed in the US store. It's made to order, takes time to produce and ship from Germany, and sits at the higher end of the price range. But if you watched the video and immediately thought I need thatget in touch and we'll talk through options.

The Full Flagship Collection

The tour covers more than just the SuperHellcat. Celene also gets a look at the modular accessory system that runs across most of the lineup — a quick-release attachment mechanism that lets you move components between pieces, mount to the ceiling, or reconfigure on the fly with one hand. One viewer put it well in the comments: a truck driver recognized the airline rail system immediately and noted that if it holds cargo on the road, it'll hold a human just fine.

Customization

One thing the video touches on that often surprises people: Stylefetish furniture is customizable. The Flagship products ship in standard configurations, but if you're running a studio or club — or just have specific requirements around dimensions, colors, or upholstery — it's a conversation worth having. Holger's response to Celene's request for a pretty pink chair: no problem.
